What did we do?

Industry-led collective, Dynamo North East have held an annual conference since 2014. The hugely successful event provides a forum for interesting discussions around tech and important networking opportunities. Their highly anticipated 7th conference was due to take place in June 2020 and came head-to-head with the pandemic.

Dynamo decided to change direction and push ahead in a virtual format. They needed to promote the conference and recruit attendees and we were thrilled to be asked to develop and deliver a paid social media strategy for Dynamo 20.

Our primary objective was to promote the online incarnation of the event using paid social media with secondary objectives to grow the mailing list and social followings for a larger base to target with marketing in subsequent years.

We planned two phases of paid advertising. One to inform and engage people and the next phase to convert them into registered participants.

We created multiple images in line with the client’s brand guidelines and utilising the high quality photography from the years preceding this event.

THE SHOW MUST GO ON…AND IT DID.

The popularity of Dynamo Conference was not hampered by the pandemic and hundreds of participants joined in for the virtual conference. This year, the conference became more easily accessible to attendees than ever before and the client’s willingness to adapt meant that they had another hugely successful year.
