Elycia is currently studying Marketing at Teesside University and joined Colehouse in June 2020. She has always had an interest in digital marketing and has thoroughly enjoyed learning new aspects while working and getting to know a bit more about the ever evolving digital world. Outside of work she likes spending time with her friends and family. We asked Elycia a few questions so you can get to know her a little bit more.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Definitely not to worry so much about what I was going to do when I left school/college. Everything always works out for the best in the end!
What’s your favourite thing about your job?
I love that I am able to always learn new things and the range of clients that I am able to work with. I love being able to develop my skills further and that every day is never the same!
What’s your favourite season and why?
I feel like Summer and WInter would have to be my joint favourites! With Winter, I absolutely love the christmassy feeling and everyone being festive, plus my birthday is 3 days after christmas so that’s also exciting! But with Summer, I love the hot weather and going on holiday and experiencing new places!
What are your pet peeves?
Definitely loud eaters!
How do you motivate yourself in your career?
I think the best way to be motivated is to be organised! Make sure that you have a list of things that you need to do that day, so you have a clear schedule of what you need to achieve! Also, it really helps if you remember what you’re working towards, I find that always motivates me.
Would you say you are more of an introvert or extrovert?
I think it really depends on who I am with or am around. I would say I am more of an extrovert when I am with my friends and family, although if I am around people I am not as familiar with, I am more of an introvert!
